Scientific conference of Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute in 2022

On May 10 and May 11, 2022, the Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute successfully organized the Scientific Conference in 2022.

Attending the conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung – Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Van Dong, Chairman of the Scientific Council of the Institute, Dr. Nguyen Van Dung – Vice President, member of the Scientific Council of the Institute; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Thi Le Hang – Vice President, member of the Scientific Council of the Institute and 6 Doctoral members of the Scientific Council of the Institute, together with representatives of leaders of units, leaders of departments, centers, in charge of scientific research tasks, representatives of research groups and staff and researchers of the Institute.

In the period of 2020-2021, despite being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Institute’s science and technology activities were still implemented on schedule and achieved encouraging achievements..

At the Conference, the rapporteurs presented 10 scientific reports in the fields of research on Vegetables and Spices, Flowers and Ornamental plants, Fruit trees, Post-harvest technology, of which 6 were published. reports on breeding and 4 reports on technical measures. These are outstanding reports of units that have been selected through scientific conferences at departmental and central level. After two days of active work by the Scientific Council, the Scientific Conference selected the most outstanding reports to award prizes.

Speaking at the Conference, Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung – Director highly appreciated the preparation, organization, as well as the active participation of scientific researchers, the great spirit of efforts of all staff to organize the event. successfully organized the Scientific Conference 2022 of the Institute.

The Scientific Conference has the participation of almost all research fields of the Institute. Report quality is improved compared to previous scientific conferences. The reports have basically met the objectives, content and results set out by the report. The reports have scientific and practical significance, many reported results have high applicability. The research results on breeding in all three groups of subjects are applicable to production such as the yellow melon variety Happy 6 and Happy 7 which have been applied in addition to production, pomelo hybrid lines. , lotus flowers will be developed and put into production in the near future. Besides, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung wants scientific researchers to devote more effort to scientific research to improve the quality of scientific research, so that the rate of scientific reports is new. and have a high scientific content of the next scientific conferences will be more, as well as improve the skills of preparing and presenting reports before the Conference.

Concluding the Conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quoc Hung pointed out specific orientations to better prepare for the 2023 Scientific Conference, including the implementation of the Scientific Council according to the professional councils, and the increase in the number of journals. scientific reports, as well as the duration of presentation and comments on the report. Thereby, the Scientific Council will have more in-depth comments, assessments and suggestions for each research field/object of the Institute../.
